Ward-based Safer Neighbourhood Police Teams were launched in 2005.
Our teams in Village and Raynes Park Wards each have two Ward-based Constables. The teams report to a Ward-based Safer Neighbourhood Panel of representatives of local residents' associations, businesses and other major local organisations. Panels meet every 3 months to receive a quarterly crime report, analyse local Policing issues and agree two or three priorities for the Police to pursue and report back next time. Current priorities are burglary and motor vehicle crime. The Police teams produce an occasional newsletter and urgent warnings when necessary (circulated to our email group of members.) They also run regular 'surgeries' in local venues, and cycle and car security marking events, as well as issuing advice on personal safety.
Our members are represented by Derek Frampton, for Village Ward Panel, and Stella Crossley for the Raynes Park Panel. Contacts for your Police Teams are:
- Village: 8721 2457 or email@example.com
- Raynes Park: 8721 2459 or firstname.lastname@example.org
- For urgent crime reporting use 999, for non-urgent crime reporting use 101
